Produced in 1960 in Germany, this is a superb item evoking the nostalgia and romance at the height of cine home movie production. A very rare example, and definitely a “must have” collectors piece.
NIZO was founded by Niezoldi and Kramer in Munich, Germany in 1925, and was renowned worldwide for making very high quality 8mm and super 8 movie cameras. They made the first European movie camera in 1926 : the Nizo 16. They continued to improve quality and produce both still and movie cameras, before BRAUN bought the company in 1962, yet still continuing to use the “Nizo” name on its Super8 cameras.
This camera is a high quality product, using 8mm film, and featuring a three lens system. It is in excellent condition, with no visible scratches or marks. Please note, the tripod in the photos is not included, this is for the camera only.
A desirable addition to a camera enthusiasts collection, or simply a stand alone mid century statement piece.
