Beautifully stylish table top camera tripod with extending brass legs, made by the renowned BILORA company, known for its leading ideas in tripod crafting, and later, producing its own line in cameras.
Beginning in Germany in 1909 as a metalwork factory, Bilora quickly moved into tripod production for cameras, as they saw a need in the market. Classic contemporary designs, along with practical applications, meant the company was a leader in its field. Eventually, in 1935 they expanded to produce their own cameras under their brand name, as well as for other companies such as Sears, Ansco, Yashica and Zeiss Ikon.
This tripod is circa 1970s, and can be used as a table top support, or extended to full height. It has brown synthetic table top legs, with full length extendable brass legs. Complete with camera mount, and attached brown leatherette travel case. The case has “Perfect” embossed, along with the Bilora logo.
This would make a stunning talking point in any room, blending a contemporary vintage feel, if adapted and used as a standing lamp or supporting a period camera. A gift for any budding photographer starting their journey, vintage camera enthusiasts, or a quirky and unique addition to your home decor.
