World War 1 Telegram Message
The significance of these documents cannot be understated.
World War One came to it’s end on 11 November 1918, an event marked every year with a two minute silence at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month.
We can only imagine effect the announcement had on the world at 1100 on that day in 1918.
However, around three hours before that announcement, a priority telegram was received in the trenches. This telegram announced that in three hours war that had been waged for 4 years was ending, troops were to stand fast on the line at 1100.
As mentioned before, the significance of this document cannot be understated. Moments before this message was recieved, troops had no idea that their ordeal was coming to an end, that in the immediate future they would be able to return home.
The opportunity to own a piece of this importance does not arise often, so don’t miss out on owning a significant piece of history.
