This piece of history harks back to a dark period of human history. Used on the train that ferried people to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Behind the glass screen is a removal brass carbide burner. Either side of the lamp are doors that allow access to the candle within.
The back of the lamp bears the embossed WWII military DR Nazi ‘Reichsadler’ (Imperial Eagle) logo.
The top of the lamp has a wooden carry handle.
