Alsatian bonnet mascot sitting at attention with his collar. This is made from bronze casting with impeccable detail as can be seen by the fur, collar, muscle structure and expression. It embodies a true companion.

In the early 1930s bonnets ornaments were used to decorate the radiator cap. As cars developed the radiator was encased underneath the bonnet but the ornament remained and became to be known as a bonnet mascot. This is one such beautiful example. This Alsatian is sitting in readiness with it’s ears pricked up looking towards the journey ahead awaiting for the command from it’s master to set off. The detail captures the life of this animal and the adventures it will have. 

This very mascot used to be on the bonnet of a car likely and owner of Alsatians, because of this it does show signs of wear, use and age. Dimensions: width 6cm x long 11cm x height 11cm. Weight 250g
