Made in England by Moko Lesney Matchbox, produced in 1:75 scale. Series #47a. It has green tea leaf decal on both doors, as well as “Brooke Bond Tea” on the side panels. A great addition to a collection.
Production began in 1958, and ran for five years, before being replaced by the “Lyons Maid” ice cream van in 1963.
The model comes in red paintwork, with Brooke Bond decals and treaded grey plastic wheels. It has silver headlights, and a silver grille. A code 9 model, it has an extended 1mm tongue at the rear, to attach the base plate to the body. A popular model with collectors, with the silver grille version being the hardest to find.
It is is used vintage condition, with some wear and paint chips due to its age.
Great as an addition to an exiting collection, or to start a new one, introducing young members of the family to classic toys.
